What the service includes
Our Shampoo & Blowout begins with a professional shampoo and conditioning to remove product and prep hair for styling. After towel-dry and detangling, the stylist performs a blowout tailored to the hair's natural texture, followed by included iron work to set the finished look. The total appointment time is 60 minutes.
Results depend on hair length, density, and local weather; North Texas humidity in summer can reduce the longevity of a blowout, while cooler months often mean longer hold. We discuss your daily routine and finish preference during the appointment so the stylist can recommend techniques and at-home steps to help the style last between visits.
Choosing your finished style
During booking and at consultation, you choose your desired finish—smooth and sleek, loose waves, or voluminous blowout—and the stylist adapts techniques accordingly. Because May, November and December are busiest for events, we recommend booking times that allow wiggle-room for changes or for clients pairing visits with downtown shopping or dinner.
Most finish options are achievable within the 60-minute appointment; extraordinarily intricate styling or elaborate upstyles may require a different service. If you arrive with wet hair or heavy product, the stylist will adjust the plan within the allotted time to deliver the best polished result possible.
Preparing and aftercare tips
Arrive ready to enjoy the full appointment; light detangling before arrival speeds the process. If you're commuting from Plano, McKinney or nearby, allow for traffic on U.S. Highway 75 and plan accordingly. In humid months, consider an anti-frizz product at home to extend the style's life.
We demonstrate simple refresh steps during your visit, such as gentle brushing, low-heat touch-ups with the included iron work when necessary, and quick pinning techniques to tame frizz. These at-home steps, practiced for a few minutes, can noticeably extend the time between salon visits.
